Asia Kaczor And Debora Seilhamer Named AVCA All-Americans

LOS ANGELES -- Junior outside hitter Asia Kaczor (Wroclaw, Poland/College of Southern Idaho) and senior libero Debora Seilhamer (Ponce, Puerto Rico/Colegio Ponceno) have been named to the 2006 American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) Division I All-America Team. Kaczor was named to the second team while Seilhamer earned third team honors as the only libero in the nation to receive All-America status.
Kaczor becomes the 28th All-American in USC history while Seilhamer finishes her career as a two-time All-America selection. The USC program now has a total of 55 All-America selections.
This season, Kaczor set USC single-season records with 563 kills, 642.5 points and 1,272 attempts. She hit .300 for the year (563-181-1272) with 35 assists, 37 service aces (0.32 sapg), 199 digs (1.75 dpg) and 81 total blocks (0.71 bpg). She also tied a school record with 5.64 points per game and her 4.94 kills per game average places her third on USC's all-time list.
Seilhamer completed her careers as arguably one of the best liberos ever to play collegiate women's volleyball. She had 721 digs this season (6.32 dpg), which was a school record. During her career, she recorded 2,071 digs and a 5.13 digs per game average, both school records.
On Dec. 8 at Hawai'i in the NCAA Honolulu Regional, Seilhamer broke the Pac-10 Conference record, held by UCLA's Chrissie Zartman. Seilhamer owns the top three single-season records for digs at USC (721 in 2006, 696 in 2005 and 571 in 2004) along with holding the USC records for most digs in a three-game match (30), four-game match (41) and five-game match (45).
