No. 2 USC Completes Doubleheader Sweep

LOS ANGELES -- Freshmen Ashley Rothweiler and Miranda Nichols, along with sophomore Denise Madrid, scored two goals each Thursday to lead the No. 2 USC Women of Troy to a 13-5 nonconference win over the Cal State Bakersfield Roadrunners in nonconference action.
USC improves to 13-3 on the season after defeating Pacific, 13-3, earlier tonight in the first game of a doubleheader.
The Women of Troy jumped out to a 5-0 lead after the first period and added three more goals in the second period for an 8-1 halftime lead.
Freshman Bree Valbuena had six saves in goal for the Women of Troy.
USC travels to the Czech Republic for a nine-day exhibition tour before two MPSF matches on March 25 at San Jose State and March 26 at Stanford.
