USC senior diver Ray Vincent won his second career Pac-10 individual title when he won the 10-meter platform during the final day of the diving portion of the 2005 Men's Pac-10 Swimming and Diving Championships at the Weyerhaeuser King County Aquatic Center on Saturday (Feb. 26) in Federal Way, Wash.
Vincent, who also won the title in 2003, won the 2005 championship with 502.45 points, edging out Cal diver Louie Gagnet, who finished with 499.15.
USC sophomore Michael Hilde was third with 473.65 while fellow second-year Trojan Kenny Jenkins was fifth (457.75).
The USC men had the highest combined scoring during the competition of any men's diving unit with 142 points. Stanford was the next closest with 110.
Also of note is that Vincent's platform win makes it three in a row in the event at the Pac-10 Championships for the Trojans. Hilde won the title in 2004.
The swimming portion of the men's Pac-10 Championships is Wednesday through Saturday (March 2-5) at Belmont Plaza in Long Beach, Calif.
