2005 Trojans Defeat Alumni, 8-3, At Dedeaux Field

LOS ANGELES -- The USC Baseball Alumni team rallied with six runs in the bottom of the ninth to defeat the 2005 USC Trojans, 9-8, at the annual Alumni Game held at Dedeaux Field (well, actually the 2005 team won 8-3, but it sounds more dramatic that way).
Former Trojan Greg Hanoian (1996-99) hit a solo home run for the Alumni team.
Close to 50 former players attended today's game, including two current major leaguers Barry Zito (Oakland A's) and Eric Munson (Minnesota Twins). Former USC head coach Rod Dedeaux also attended the game.
The Trojans open the 2005 season on Tuesday (Feb. 8) against San Diego State in a 6 p.m. game at Dedeaux Field. The game will be broadcast live on usctrojans.com.
