No. 9 Pacific Beats USC Men's Volleyball

LOS ANGELES- Nils Dauburs had 17 kills and 4 blocks to lead the No. 9-ranked Pacific men's volleyball team to a 30-26, 30-24, 30-24 win over unranked USC in a Mountain Pacific Sports Federation match on Thursday (Feb. 6) in USC's North Gym.
The Tigers improved to 7-4 overall and 4-1 in the MPSF, while USC fell to 3-7 overall and 1-5 in the MPSF.
For USC, Mark Dusharme had 13 kills and Ian Gallagher added 10.
Pacific outhit the Trojans, .329 to .224. USC had 16 serving errors.
In the first game, Pacific overcame a 9-3 deficit to tie the game at 12-12 before pulling away. USC trailed just 22-21 in the second game, but scored just 3 more points the rest of the way. Pacific jumped out to a 9-3 lead in the final game and was never threatened.
USC next hosts No. 6 Stanford in an MPSF match on Saturday (Feb. 8) in the Lyon Center at 7 p.m.
