
USC Men's Volleyball Defeats La Verne, 3-1

LOS ANGELES--Mark Dusharme had 12 kills, 5 digs and 3 aces, all team highs, to lead the USC men's volleyball team to a 22-30, 31-29, 30-19, 30-25 non-conference victory at La Verne, the No. 3-ranked team in NCAA Division III, on Tuesday (Feb. 4).
USC--now 13-0 all-time versus La Verne--won its second match in a row to improve to 3-6, while La Verne dropped to 4-6.
Trojan setter Miles McGann had a match-best 5 blocks.
La Verne's Matt Cornell had a match-best 20 kills with 7 digs, while teammate Brad Evans added 14 kills and a match-leading 8 digs.
USC next hosts a pair of Mountain Pacific Sports Federation matches this week, facing No. 9 Pacific on Thursday (Feb. 6) in the North Gym and No. 6 Stanford on Saturday (Feb. 8) in the Lyon Center. Both matches start at 7 p.m.
