
Konoukh Earns All-America First Team Honors

LOS ANGELES -- Senior Sofia Konoukh earned All-America first team honors as named by the American Water Polo Coaches Association. Senior Aniko Pelle was named to the All-America second team while senior Nina Wengst earned third team honors.
Konoukh also was named Mountain Pacific Sports Federation Player of the Year after leading USC with 70 goals on the season. She also earned tournament MVP honors at the MPSF Championship. Konoukh and Pelle earned All-MPSF first team honors while Wengst earned All-MPSF second team honors.
The Women of Troy finished the 2002 regular season with a 26-4 record and third-place finish at the MPSF Championship.
