LONG BEACH, Calif. -- Seniors Sofia Konoukh and Nina Wengst scored four goals each Sunday to lead the No. 2 USC Trojans to a 15-5 win against the San Diego State Aztecs in the championship match of the Long Beach State Tournament. The Women of Troy (22-3) used a 7-1 second period to take an 11-2 lead at halftime.
USC defeated UC San Diego, 18-4, earlier in the day to advance to the championship match.
The Women of Troy travels to Loyola Marymount next Saturday (April 20) for the final regular season match before hosting the Mountain Pacific Sports Federation championships April 26-28 at McDonald's Swim Stadium.
