Clancy Named NABC All-America Third Team

USC senior forward Sam Clancy was named an All-America third-team selection and head coach Henry Bibby was named District 15 Co-Coach of the Year the National Association of Basketball Coaches announced on Monday (March 4).
Clancy, who averaged 19.2 points, 9.8 rebounds, 1.4 blocks and 1.9 steals in the regular season, is USC's first All-American selection since Harold Miner earned first team honors in 1992.
Clancy was joined on the third team by Arizona's Jason Gardner, Duke's Carlos Boozer, Kansas' Kirk Hinrich and Xavier's David West.
Bibby was named District 15 Co-Coach of the Year with Pepperdine's Paul Westphal. It is Bibby's first such honor and makes him eligible to to be named the 2002 Coach of the Year at the Guardians of the Game Awards Presentation on March 31.
