Wengst Leads Women's Water Polo In 16-0 Win

LOS ANGELES - Senior All-American Nina Wengst scored three goals Friday and the No. 3 USC Trojans defeated the Cal State Northridge Matadors, 16-0, in Mountain Pacific Sports Federation action at McDonald's Swim Stadium. The Women of Troy jumped out early, outscoring the Matadors, 8-0, in the first period.
USC improves to 15-2 overall and 7-0 in MPSF play while Cal State Northridge falls to 1-8 overall and 0-5 in conferece play. The Women of Troy have won six straight matches.
USC travels to San Diego State tomorrow for another MPSF match beginning at noon.
