No. 8 USC Rolls Past No. 11 Pacific

STOCKTON, Calif. -
Junior All-American opposite hitter Brook Billings had a match-high 16 kills to lead the No. 8-ranked USC men's volleyball team to a 30-21, 30-25, 30-25 sweep at No. 11 Pacific in a Mountain Pacific Sports Federation match on Saturday (Feb. 24).
USC improved to 7-3 both overall and in the MPSF, while Pacific dropped to 4-6 and 2-5.
Senior outside hitter Eli Fairfield added 13 kills for the Trojans while hitting .480 and had a team-best 10 digs.
For UOP, Tim Gerlach had 8 kills, while Vladimir Andric, Martin Berntsen and Sean Roadgers each had 7 kills.
The Trojans bettered Pacific in hitting percentage (.380-.122), blockings (13-5) and digs (34-27).
USC next hosts BYU this Wednesday (Feb. 28) at 7 p.m. in the North Gym.
