WALNUT CREEK, Calif. -- USC junior Sofia Konoukh was named Mountain Pacific Sports Federation/Mikasa Player of the Week after recording seven goals in two matches.

Konoukh scored a team-high five goals for the No. 3 Trojans in a 12-5 MPSF win last Saturday at UC Santa Barbara. She also scored two goals in a 9-4 win Sunday against Long Beach State. Konoukh leads the team with 14 goals on the season.

Originally from Chelyabinsk, Russia, Konoukh was a member of the Russian team that won the bronze medal at the 2000 Olympics in Sydney, Austrlia.

USC will travel this weekend to play in the UC Santa Barbara Tournament.
