Women's Volleyball Defeats Oral Roberts

Led by a career-high 21 kills from junior outside hitter Janae Henry, the USC women's volleyball team (4-2) defeated Oral Roberts, 15-13, 15-13, 15-5, on Friday (Sept. 17) at the UNLV Tournament in Las Vegas.
Henry, whose previous high was 17 kills, also hit .436 for the match and added 15 digs and two aces in leading the Women of Troy. Junior middle blocker Amber Oliver hit .611 en route to 12 kills and had a match-high six blocks while sophomore middle blocker Jennifer Pahl added nine kills and five blocks, including three solos. Heidi Munneke also posted 42 assists and seven digs.
USC outhit Oral Roberts, .304 to .228, and outblocked Oral Roberts, 11 to four.
The Women of Troy, directed by interim head coach Jerritt Elliott, take on the winner of New Orleans-Nevada-Las Vegas on Saturday (Sept. 18).
