Women's Basketball Defeats Slovan Bratislava, 89-65

LOS ANGELES - The USC women's basketball team won its exhibition opener against Slovan Bratislava, 89-65, in front of 350 at the North Gym on Friday night.
Sophomore forward Tashara Carter led the Women of Troy with 18 points and eight rebounds. Senior center Adrain Williams posted 13 points and had a game-high 10 rebounds, while freshman guard Tiffany Elmore scored 13 points. Slovan Bratislava was led by Andrea Belanska with a game-high 19 points, while Erika Nurnbergerova contributed 14 points and three steals.
USC trailed Slovan Bratislava in the first half until tying it up at 24-24 and held on to the lead throughout the game.
The Women of Troy finish their exhibition schedule on Sunday (Nov. 15) against the Riverland Raiders in the Lyon Center at 7 p.m.
