LOS ANGELES- Hassled into their lowest offensive output of the season, USC fell 73-43 to California at the L.A. Memorial Sports Arena.
The Trojans (7-15, 3-9 PAC 10) got off to a poor start- hitting only 6 of 30 shots from the field in the first half. Perhaps most frustrating in the first period was that stalwarts Gary Johnson, Adam Spanich and Larry Ayuso combined for a very poor 1 of 14 from the field.
Spanich, who finished with 11, was the only Trojan to score in double figures.
Johnson scored 9 points on 3 3-pointers. He was 3 of 10 from the field.
