Men's Volleyball Posts Win at UC San Diego

Brook Billings had 22 kills and hit .581, both match highs, to lead the No. 10 USC men's volleyball team to a 15-10, 6-15, 15-7, 15-0 Mountain Pacific Sports Federation victory at UC San Diego on Tuesday (April 7).
USC, playing the first of 3 road matches in 5 days after a week's layoff, improved to 12-9 overall and 8-7 in the MPSF, while UC San Diego dropped to 5-20 and 0-17.
Eli Fairfield added 21 kills while hitting .486 for the Trojans, while Trevor Julian had a season-high 16 kills to go along with 7 digs.
For the Tritons, Devon Jeffcoat had 14 kills.
USC, angling for a berth in the upcoming MPSF tournament, plays at San Diego State (2-15, 2-14) on Wednesday (April 7) and Cal State Northridge (2-19, 1-15) on Saturday (April 10).
