Kessy Sparks Women's Volleyball Over Oregon

EUGENE, Ore. - Senior outside hitter Jennifer Kessy had 22 kills and a .487 hitting percentage to lead the women's volleyball team to a 15-13, 15-3, 15-7 win at Oregon on Thursday night.
USC, ranked No. 11, improved to 13-4 overall and 6-2 in the Pac-10. The Ducks dropped their ninth straight Pac-10 match and fell to 6-15, 1-9.
Senior middle blocker Jasmina Marinkovic had 14 kills and hit .296 and sophomore outside hitter Antoinette Polk had 11 kills and hit .409.
Sophomore outside hitter Janae Henry had 12 digs and Polk added 10 for the Women of Troy.
Oregon was led by Madeline Ernst and Tanja Nikolic, who had 10 kills each.
"They are a great volleyball team," Oregon Coach Cathy Nelson said. "They have no weaknesses."
Oregon actually had a 13-12 lead in game one before USC came back for the win.
USC plays at Oregon State on Sunday.
