Women of Troy Open Exhibition Play Monday

Los Angeles, Calif. -- The USC women's basketball team, ready to display a much improved and healthy roster under third-year head coach Chris Gobrecht, begins exhibition play on Monday, November 15 when it faces SBC Prerov (Slovakia). The exhibition game will be played at the Lyon Center on the USC campus at 7 p.m.
The Trojans, who suffered multiple injuries last season, finished with a 7-20 overall record and 3-15 (ninth place) mark in the Pac-10.
In addition to the first exhibition game of the season, the 1999-2000 Women of Troy will host the New Zealand National Team on Wednesday, November 17 at the Lyon Center at 7 p.m.
USC will open regular season play on the road against the University of Portland on Tuesday, November 23 at 7 p.m. The team's home opener is scheduled for Saturday, November 26 at 12:30 p.m. against Creighton University, marking the Trojans' first game of the season at the Los Angeles Sports Arena - the new home of USC women's basketball.
