TUCSON, Ariz. -- Junior outside hitter Janae Henry posted a .400 attack percentage to lead No. 17 USC to a 3-1 (15-7, 15-9, 4-15, 15-8) victory over No. 18 Arizona in Tucson on Thursday night. After suffering a loss at home to the Wildcats earlier this season (Sept. 25), the Trojans' victory allows them to move past Arizona into third place in the Pac-10 standings.
With the win, USC improves to 12-5 overall, and 7-3 in conference play. Arizona falls to 12-6 overall and 6-4 in the Pac-10.
Henry's .400 attack effort marked her best performance in 11 matches. With 13 kills and 15 digs, Henry also registered her 11th double-double of the season. The Women of Troy were one game short of sweeping the Wildcats who have avoided a three-game loss all season.
Arizona was led by junior middle blocker Marisa DaLee, who posted 20 kills and hit .731, the fifth-best hitting percentage in Cat history. Arizona was hurt by 19 total service errors in the contest.
Troy will travel to Tempe, Ariz. to face Arizona State on Friday (Oct. 22). The match is scheduled to begin at 7:30 p.m. and will be televised on Fox Sports Net.
