Alexx Murphy enters her first season with the Women of Troy.

Murphy was a three-year (2010-12) letterwinner as an opposite hitter and libero at Laguna Beach HS (Calif.)... earned 2012 All-Orange Coast League first team honors as a senior... named Most Improved Player as a sophomore in 2010... earned second-team All-League in 2011 and first-team All-League in 2012... earned Academic All-League (2009-12)... was a National Merit Scholar in 2011... was on the USA U19 A2 Team... current Trojan Sevana Dvorak also prepped at Laguna Beach... she won a gold medal at the 2011 Volleyball Festival... played for Laguna Beach Volleyball Club for three years, 900 Sq. Ft. Volleyball Club for two years, and Tustin Volleyball Club for two years... finished in the top eight at the Junior Olympics... won the National Qualifier Championship in 2012.
