Bio
THIS YEAR: Sophomore Jenna Gallaway is in her second season as a thrower on the USC track and field team.
2024: Gallaway had a strong first season with the Trojans while competing in six outdoor meets. She set her hammer throw PR of 196-10 (59.99m) in placing third at the USC-UCLA Dual Meet on April 27. She improved her hammer throw personal best by nearly 30 feet during her first season. She also placed 11th in the hammer throw at the Pac-12 Championships and advanced to the NCAA Preliminary Rounds in the event.
HIGH SCHOOL: Gallaway is a 2023 graduate of Santa Margarita Catholic High in Rancho Santa Margarita, Calif. She has a hammer throw PR of 167-4 (51.00m). She earned All-America honors by placing fourth at the 2023 Nike Outdoor Nationals in the hammer throw with a mark of 160-1 (48.79m) on June 18. She had a mark of 159-8 (48.67m) to place 17th in the hammer throw at the Aztec Invitational on March 26, as the only high school thrower in the event. She was a National Honor Society student.
PERSONAL: Jenna was born on July 26, 2005…Her parents are Kim and Darren Gallaway and she has one sister, Kate…Both of her parents attended USC and her father played football for the Trojans…Loves beach volleyball, baking and taking sunset swims in the ocean…She is an Exploratory major at USC.
