High School: Torres prepped at Trinity Preparatory School in Winter Park, Fla., where he was a two-time finalist at the 2018 FHSAA 1A State Championships in the 50y free (2nd, 20.38) and 100y free (3rd, 45.03) and was second in both races in 2017 … He was a two-time champion at the 2017 FHSAA 1A Region 2 meet with a (21.56) in the 50y free and a (47.20) in the 100y free… He represented Puerto Rico at the 2017 CCCAN Swimming Championships, posting a (23.58) in the 50m free … He is a NISCA and three-time USA Swimming Scholastic All American.

- Torres provided depth for the Trojans in the sprint free events as a 2021 sophomore, scoring in the 100y free at Pac-12’s.
- At the 2021 Pac-12 Swimming Championships, he was 10th in the 100y free (43.34) and 17th in the 50y free (20.31 / 20.27). He also appeared in USC’s 400y free relay that finished third in 2:51.35.
- Torres was second in the 50y free (20.29) and fourth in the 100y free (44.33) against Utah (Feb. 12-13).
2020:
- Competed in three events at the Pac-12 Championships, finishing 24th in the 100y free (44.37), 36th in the 50y free (20.51) and 38th in the 200y free (1:39.25).
- His best finish at the Art Adamson Invite was eighth in the 100y free (44.52).
