Junior / 2022-23
• Started 10 tournaments as a junior in 2023 and competed in the Pac-12 Championship
• Ended the season with 2 top-25 finishes and 5 rounds under-par
• Shot a team season-low 65 at the The Goodwin
Sophomore / 2021-22
• Started seven times as a 2022 sophomore, all in USC’s final seven events of the season.
• Finished third on the team in stroke average (73.95), had six rounds of par or better and one round in the 60s, a collegiate-best 66 at the 2022 Pac-12 Championships.
• Nishiba was 27th at the Pac-12s at 7-over 291 (75-66-78-72). He posted a collegiate-best tie for 22nd in the tournament before, tying for 22nd at the Western Intercollegiate at 9-over 219 (71-75-73).
• Competed at the 2022 U.S. Amateur for the first time, but did not make match play. Nishiba claimed his spot as part of a three-way tie for first at 3-over 145 at the Rancho Santa Fe Golf Club qualifying site.
• Tied for 17th at the Pacific Northwest Amateur Championship.
Freshman / 2020-21
• As a 2021 freshman, played in two events for the Trojans, starting both. He tied for 79th at the N.I.T. at 6-over 222 (71-74-77) and also competed at The Goodwin.
HIGH SCHOOL
• Nishiba, from San Diego, Calif., graduated from La Jolla (Calif.) Country Day.
• He posted five top 26 AJGA finishes in 2019, highlighted by a tie for eighth at the ClubCorp Mission Hills Dessert Junior. He tied for 17th at the AJGA Se Ri Pak Junior Championship and tied for 19th at the AJGA Under Amour/Alison Lee Championship. He also tied for sixth at the FCG Western States Players Cup.
• Had three top 6 finishes on the SCPGA Junior Tour in 2018 and five in the top 25. He had two in 2017, including a tie for second at the Toyota Tour Cup at Coto de Caza. He won the 2017 Rancho Santa Margarita Amateur by two strokes.his brother Colin as 2015 Drive Chip and Putt Championship champions who competed at Augusta.
