Morgan Laurence joined the USC Staff as Assistant Director of Recruiting Operations in May of 2022.
In her previous role, she was an Assistant Character Formation Coordinator in the Student-Athlete Center of Excellence at Baylor. Her responsibilities were assisting in the implementation of programs to include: leadership and personal development, career and professional development, and spiritual growth. She also led departmental social responsibility and community engagement efforts. She served as a career coach and maintained communication with coaches regarding compliance and progress of student-athletes.
Laurence attended Baylor where she spent 3 years working for the football team serving in several positions which earned her a varsity letter. From 2020-21, she was the sideline videographer and produced film that was used by ESPN/FOX including the 2021 Sugar Bowl. She worked with Baylor’s football creative team developing graphics and content to be sent to NFL teams. In the 2019 season she served in football student recruiting operations.
In 2019 she was the recipient of the Women In Sports Technology fellowship and was an intern for Learn To Win Sports, a technology company focused on improving team performance, based out of Menlo Park, California.
She graduated Summa Cum Laude from Baylor, earning her bachelor’s degree in Corporate Communications with a minor in Educational Psychology. She was the recipient of the Kyle Lake Memorial Scholarship.
Her brother, Mason, was a football letterman football at North Carolina from 2017-2020. Her father, Donnie Jr., played football at Baylor from 1991-1996. Her grandfather, Donnie Sr., lettered in football and baseball at Baylor and was inducted into the Baylor Athletic Hall of Fame. Her great-grandfather, Ernie Sr., played football at Rice in 1937 and played in the second-ever Cotton Bowl. His bowl watch is currently on display in the Texas Sports Hall of Fame Museum in Waco, Texas.
Morgan is a native of San Antonio, Texas. She was a multi-sport athlete in high school earning All-State and All-District honors in basketball, softball, volleyball and cross-country.
