OKLAHOMA: McCutchin, who enrolled at Oklahoma in the spring of 2021 after graduating a semester early from high school, had 9 tackles, 2 forced fumbles and a deflection while appearing in 9 games (all but the final 4 contests versus Baylor, Iowa State, Oklahoma State and Oregon) and starting once (Western Carolina) as a first-year freshman cornerback at Oklahoma in 2021. He had 1 tackle each against Tulane, Western Carolina and Nebraska, then had 2 tackles and a forced fumble against West Virginia, a tackle and forced fumble against TCU and a deflection at Kansas.
HIGH SCHOOL: He had 40 tackles, including 4 for losses, 3 interceptions, a forced fumble, 2 fumble recoveries and 8 deflections on defense and 20 catches for 325 yards (16.3 avg) with 5 TDs on offense as a 2020 senior cornerback and wide receiver at LBJ Early College High in Austin (Tex.).
He suffered a season-ending knee ligament injury in the first game of his 2019 junior season.
He made 2018 Texas District 12-5A-I Offensive Newcomer of the Year as a sophomore when he had 16 receptions for 307 yards (19.2 avg) with 4 TDs.
