HIGH SCHOOL: Tauanuu, a four-star recruit, was rated as the No. 30 player in the state of California by Rivals, No. 37 by 247Sports, No. 51 by ESPN and No. 55 by Rivals. He was touted as the No. 26 offensive tackle in the nation by 247Sports, No. 34 by Rivals, No. 60 by On3 and No. 70 by ESPN. He was selected as a 2024 Polynesian Bowl All-Star.
After his 2023 senior season, he was named a JPWest Media Player of the Year finalist. He helped Huntington Beach (Calif.) HS win the 2023 Surf City Lineman Competition.
In 2022, he was selected to the 2022 All-Orange County Second Team and the 2022 CalHiSports All-CIFSS Juniors First/Second Team.
