USC Center Kilian O’Connor Named to Rimington Trophy Watch List

LOS ANGELES—USC center Kilian O'Connor was named to the Rimington Trophy Watch List, today (Aug. 6). The Rimington Trophy is presented annually to the most outstanding center in NCAA Division I College Football.
This year, the Rimington Trophy committee worked with Pro Football Focus (PFF) to narrow down its list to the top 40 centers in the nation.
Today, USC head coach Lincoln Riley announced that O'Connor suffered a season-ending injury at a camp practice.
"It's a tough one for us from an emotional standpoint," said Riley. "He's certainly one of the leaders and heartbeats of this program."
In his four-year career, O'Connor has seen action in 23 games with 7 starts (all at center).
O'Connor, who was placed on scholarship before last season, saw action in 8 games with 7 starts at center in 2025. He was limited by injuries throughout the season. USC finished the regular season ranked No. 7 in the nation and No. 1 in the Big Ten in passing offense (297.3) and No. 10 in nation in total offense (471.6) and second in the Big Ten.
