He is rated as the No. 64 player in the state of Texas by Rivals, No. 82 by ESPN, No. 110 by On3 and No. 161 by 247 Sports. As a senior at McKinney (Texas) HS, he rushed for 681 yards on 129 carries (5.3 avg.) for 8 TDs. He also collected 2 receptions for 8 yards (4.0 avg.). Additionally, he had 1 passing attempt for 42 yards which resulted in a TD. He was named the 2023 District 5-6A Offensive MVP. He also competed at the 2023 Elite 11 finals. As a junior, he rushed for 1,647 yards on 265 carries (6.2 avg.) for 23 TDs. He also tallied 4 receptions for 26 yards (6.5 avg.)
