Felix, who has a degree in elementary education from USC, became the most decorated female track & field athlete in U.S. history at this summer's Rio Olympics. She won two gold medals (4x100m and 4x400m) and a silver medal in the individual 400m, making her the only woman in the world to win six Olympic golds in track & field and the only woman in America to ever win nine track & field medals.
Felix is now a three-time recipient of the Sportswoman of the Year Award, having also won it in 2007 and 2009.
This honor comes on the heels of Felix's selection as a Grand Marshal of the 2017 Rose Parade. She, Janet Evans and Greg Louganis served as ambassadors for the Tournament of Roses and Felix made an appearance on the USC sideline to cheer on her Trojans during their stunning Rose Bowl win.
