Terry, a three-year letterman from 1967-69, appeared in three Rose Bowls and won a national championship with USC his freshman year.Â
Terry starred along with ends Jimmy Gunn and Charles Weaver, tackles Al Cowlings and Tody Smith and middle guard Willard "Bubba" Scott on USC's defensive line in 1969, nicknamed the Wild Bunch after a Sam Peckinpah Western movie released that year. The Wild Bunch helped USC post a 10-0-1 record in 1969, including a win over Michigan in the Rose Bowl.
Terry was drafted in the sixth round of the 1970 NFL Draft by the Detroit Lions and also played for the Los Angeles Rams and the World Football League's Portland Storm.
