Saturday's rivalry game carries special significance for center Abe Makowitz and his family, as the family's past four generations have flip-flopped between USC and UCLA. Abe and his grandfather Larry have played football for the Trojans, while Abe's father Barry was a linebacker at UCLA in the '70s and his great-grandfather Richard Love played basketball and tennis for the Bruins in the 1920s.
