Thoughts from Wednesday's practice, through the eyes of USCRipsIt...

- Twenty-four hours after losing Competition Tuesday, it was the offense's day on Turnover Wednesday, as it pitched a shutout on the turnover front and also captured a 13-11 overall practice win in the final team period. "That's a decisive victory for the offense!" Coach Carroll said after the full-pads workout that featured plenty of fiery battles between the two sides of the ball.

- Besides the two aforementioned achievements, the offense also had a sharp and productive performance in 7-on-7 period. Matt Barkley and Aaron Corp both went 4-for-5 for two touchdowns apiece, producing a dominating 8-for-10, four-touchdown output from the offense.

- Just three weeks removed from a kneecap dislocation, center Kristofer O'Dowd participated in his third straight full-speed practice. "He's getting tons of reps and he feels great," Carroll said of O'Dowd.

- On one play in team period, wideout David Ausberry sprung free for a huge gain thanks to an awesome downfield block by offensive tackle Charles Brown on an overmatched cornerback.

- To prepare the offense for what it'll face on Saturday, piped-in crowd noise played from speakers during service team period for the second consecutive day.
