Football and volleyball prowess apparently come through the same genes.
Three Trojans -- quarterback Aaron Corp and linebacker Shane and defensive end Wes Horton -- have sisters playing Division I volleyball this season. Both freshmen outside hitters, Lauren Corp plays at St. Mary's while Taylor Horton is at Fresno State. Both teams' seasons start this weekend.
Coach Carroll's family proves the football-volleyball connection, as well. His wife Glena was a volleyball player at University of the Pacific in the '70s, while his daughter Jaime played defensive specialist at USC in 2000 and 2001.
