On the opening day of the fall semester at USC, linebacker Shane Horton walks into Kaprielian Hall for his first class of the year, a 300-level sociological statistics class. Horton, a sociology major, is one of 105 players, 600 student-athletes and 16,000 undergrads attending classes on the university's first day of the 2009-2010 school year.
