Herb Klein, a former White House official, newspaper executive and USC alum, was honored with a special memorial service on the deck of the USS Midway in San Diego on Tuesday, a ceremony that included a performance by the Trojan Marching Band.
Klein, who was a former USC board of trustees member and Daily Trojan sports editor, died July 2 at age 91.
