One month from today, USC's Galen Center will host the 2017 Safe Summer-Tip Off Event in conjunction with the LAPD and LAFD.
The event is free and will take place on July 9 from 10 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. at the Galen Center on Figueroa St.
The event will feature a free barbecue lunch as well as fitness and chili cook-off competitions between the LAPD and LAFD as a way to kick off the summer in a fun and safe way, and allow children to learn more about their local police and fire departments.
