Game: Cook is a long and lean safety who opened a lot of eyes this spring by creating turnovers in the secondary. He was out most of the 2016 season with a foot injury, but he is fully healthy now and looking to get in the defensive back rotation this fall. With his unique blend of size and athleticism, Cook saw a lot of time at nickel back during the spring.
Prep Career: Cook made 2015 Prep Star All-American Dream Team, USA Today All-Florida second team and All-State Class 6A first team his senior year at Miami Central. Cook played as a defensive back, recording 6 interceptions in his final season. Cook and the Miami Central football team won the state 6A championship title in 2012, 2013 and 2014.
Head coach Clay Helton on Cook: "He has great quickness in pressures, he's good enough to play man coverage, and he's a good run support defender off the edge."
Fun Fact: Cook's cousin is former Florida State All-American running back Dalvin Cook.
