Former USC DE/OLB Willie McGinest was inducted into the New England Patriots' Hall of Fame on Wednesday, making him only the 23rd member of the organization to receive the honor. McGinest is just the first No. 55 from USC to be inducted into a Hall of Fame this weekend as the late Junior Seau will be inducted into the Professional Football Hall of Fame this weekend.Â
The powerful pass rusher was the No. 4 overall pick in the 1994 NFL Draft, traveling to the opposite side of the country to play for the New England Patriots, where he won three Super Bowl rings (2001, 2003 and 2004). McGinest set two NFL records that still stand today, which are most career postseason sacks (16) and most sacks in a playoff game (4.5).Â
