To celebrate 12-12-12, we are recognizing the greatest Trojans to wear the No. 12 at USC.
Ryan Francis was the heartbeat of USC men's basketball for his one season at Troy. Having arrived as a high school state champion from Louisiana, the freshman was an immediate spark to spur the Tim Floyd era.
However, in 2006, he was shot and killed in his hometown of Baton Rouge. The loss devastated Francis' teammates, coaches and the entire Trojan Family as well as his family and friends.
The following season his No. 12 was emblazoned upon the Galen Center court, and remained there for what would have been the rest of his USC career. The Trojans played in his honor in 2006-07 en route to a surprise Sweet 16 appearance.
