USC finished seventh overall in the 2011-12 Learfield Sports Directors' Cup, which measures the athletic department's postseason success across every sport, but the Trojans boasted the best spring teams in the country.

In the spring alone, USC men's tennis won a national championship, while men's volleyball, women's golf and women's water polo finished as national runners-up.
