2012 USC Hall of Fame inductee Bob Hughes is considered the "finest water polo player in U.S. history" by none other than legendary Cal coach Peter Cutino.
Hughes was an accomplished swimmer as well who competed in both swimming and water polo at the 1956 Olympic Games. In all, he participated on two Olympic teams, two U.S. Pan American teams and received All-Pac-8 honors three times.
