2021: At the 2021 Pac-12 Championships, Aroesty finished 13th in both the 100y (1:02.57) and 200y breast (2:15.80) and was 22nd in the 200y IM (2:03.18) … Earlier in the season, she was second in the 200y breast (2:13.00) and third in the 100y breast against UCLA (Feb. 12), touching in 1:02.60
2020: Arroesty’s junior campaign was highlighted by an NCAA bid and CSCAA All-American honors (200y breast) … At the 2020 Pac-12 Championships, Aroesty was fifth in the 200y breast (2:10.10) and 17th in the 100y breast ( 1:01.33) … Earlier in the season, she was second in the 100y breast (1:01.99) and fifth in the 200y breast (2:15.23) when the Trojans hosted Stanford … Against UCLA, Aroesty touched second in both the 100y and 200y breast, earning a B-cut in the 100 with a season best 1:00.59
2019: Aroesty competed at the NCAA Championships for the second year in a row as a 2019 sophomore, finishing 44th in the 100y breast (1:00.55) and 59th in the 200y breast (2:15.01) … At the 2019 Pac-12s, she was 11th in the 200y breast (2:11.26) and 12th in the 100y breast (1:01.14) … Her season was highlighted by a win in the 200y breast (2:08.93) at the Texas Hall of Fame Invitational, where she also took third in the 100y breast (1:00.31) – both were season-best swims – and seventh in the 200y IM (1:59.52, 1:59.09 in prelims, also a season best).
2018: Aroesty became a Pac-12 champion and an NCAA scorer as a 2018 freshman, establishing herself as one of the top breaststrokers in the country … At the 2018 NCAA Championships, Aroesty won the B final of the 200y breast in 2:07.06 after just missing a spot in the A final, taking ninth in prelims in 2:08.10 … At the 2018 Pac-12 Championships, she won the 200y breast in a PR 2:06.85, 0.44 ahead of teammate Riley Scott for Troy’s eighth title in the event. She was also fourth in the 100y breast in 59.35 … Aroesty, at the SMU Classic, won the 400y IM (4:10.18) and took both B heats of the 100y and 200y breast … At the USA College Challenge, she was a surprise winner in the 200y breast in a then-PR 2:06.88, breaking the pool record of former Trojan and Olympic champion Rebecca Soni (2:07.86). Aroesty, at the Texas Invitational, registered a pair of top 3 finishes in the 100y and 200y breast.
HIGH SCHOOL: Aroesty prepped at Long Beach High in Lido Beach, N.Y., where she was a four-time state champion and state record holder in the 100y breast and a three-time winner in the 200y IM. She was also a member of the U.S. Junior National team and represented the U.S. at the 2016 Junior Pan Pacs in the 100m breast and 200m (third) and 400m IM (fourth) … Aroesty was a three-time winner at the 2017 NCSA Spring Juniors, taking first in the 100y (59.98) and 200y breast (2:09.43) and the 200y IM (1:57.19), which followed five wins at the 2017 Senior Metropolitan Winter Championships … She raced in five events at the 2017 Summer Nationals, highlighted by a 13th in the 200m IM (2:15.70) and 21st-place finishes in the 100m and 200m breast and the 400m IM … She was a 2016 AT&T Winter Championships finalist in the 100y breast (1:00.70) … Aroesty was a 2016 Olympic Trials finalist, finishing seventh in the 200m IM (2:13.99).
