Bio
THIS SEASON: A 2007 junior, Renee Viveros returns as one of USC[apos]s top backstrokers and also swims the IM and fly. She will continue to lend help in dual meets and at the Pac-10s for the Trojans.
2006: Viveros reached her first Pac-10 Championships consolation final as a 2006 sophomore, taking 16th in the 100y fly (56.56). She was also 21st in the 100y back (57.58) and 23rd in the 200y back (2:07.06).
2005: Viveros raced in three events at the 2005 Pac-10 Championships, finishing 21st in the 200y back (2:04.62), 32nd in the 100y fly (57.97) and 42nd in the 200y IM (2:07.91).
HIGH SCHOOL: Prepped at Bishop Alemany High, where she was a four-year All-American in the 100y back and 100y fly ... A four-year Mission League champion in the 100y back and 100y fly, she also swam on Alemany[apos]s 2001 CIF title-winning 400y free relay ... Won the Scholar Athlete Award all four years and was on Honor Roll ... Has competed for the Mexican National team and was chosen for (but did not attend) the Pan-Am Games ... She is the Mexican national record holder in the 200m back and 400m medley relay and won national titles in those events as well as the 100m back.
PERSONAL: She was born on Nov. 20, 1986 ... She is a sociology major with minors in Spanish and business.
CLUB: Canyons Aquatic Club.
