THIS SEASON: Ryder Jackson is in his third season at USC.
2020-21: Jackson had the clinching singles win in two dual matches... Opened his sophomore spring ranked No. 79 in the nation in singles... Went 6-2 overall in singles, going 4-2 in dual matches... Played primarily at the No. 6 position, where he went 3-0... Also played at No. 4 (0-2) and No. 5 (1-0)... In doubles, went 2-8 overall with a 1-7 mark in dual matches... Paired with Mor Bulis (0-1), Stefan Dostanic (1-1), Jake Sands (0-2) and Lodewijk Weststrate (1-4)... Won his last three singles matches of the season
2019-20: Jackson was ranked No. 114 in the nation and held a 19-9 overall singles record when competition was cancelled in March 2020 due to the coronavirus pandemic... Was 6-2 in dual-match play, going 2-0 at No. 4, 2-1 at No. 5 and 2-1 at No. 6... Had the match-clinching victories in USC’s wins over Stanford and Army... In doubles, Jackson had gone 13-5 overall in doubles with a 4-2 mark in dual matches... Paired with Mor Bulis (1-1), Bradley Frye (5-1), Riley Smith (3-1) and Jake Sands (0-1)... In the fall, reached the SoCal Intercollegiate singles final and the Battle in the Bay doubles final with Smith.
HIGH SCHOOL: Jackson helped his Saint Ignatius College Prep team go undefeated in back-to-back seasons... Won four gold balls and one bronze ball at the junior tennis level.
PERSONAL: Ryder Jackson was born May 24, 2001 in Marin, Calif.… Parents are Steve Jackson and Elizabeth Evans… Has two siblings, Peter and Frances Cameron… His brother Peter also attended USC... Enjoys playing basketball and golf and snacking on food in his free time... Lists Roger Federer as his biggest sports hero... Has always wanted to skydive... Hopes to travel to Japan, Italy and Australia... Would like to play professionally and then pursue a career in business after graduating... Majoring in economics.
