NYU: While at NYU Lum was an Honorable Mention All-American in the 200-yard breaststroke, finishing 13th (2:01.80) at the NCAA Championships (3/20-23)…placed second in the 200-yard breaststroke (2:00.76) at the UAA Championships (2/14-16)…won the 200-yard breaststroke against USMMA (2:06.30, 1/11) and MIT (2:06.54, 1/18)
High School: Lum prepped at Ventura High School where he was a two-time USA Swimming Scholastic All-American and CA SCS/RAA Summer J.O Champion (200L breast - 2:31.48) … Two-time champion at the 2018 CA Buen SCS June Age Group Championships, finishing first in both the 100y (1:07.05) and 200y breast (2:24.84)

- At the Art Adamson Invitationa, Lum was 12th in the 200y breast (1:58.89) and15th in the 100y breast (55.09)
- Named to Pac-12 Winter Academic Honor Roll
2021:
- In his first year as a Trojan, Lum provided depth for USC in the breastroke events, scoring twice at Pac-12’s.
- At the 2021 Conference Championships, Lum was 13th in the 200y breast (1:58.56 / 1:58.81) and 14th in the 100y breast (54.93 / 54.48). He also swam in the 200y IM, where he finished 35th in 1:54.03.
- Lum placed second in the 200y breast touching in 2:00.24, and third in the 100y breast (55.07) during USC’s dual against Utah (Feb. 12-13)
