USC Wide Receiver Tanook Hines Named to Earl Campbell Tyler Rose Award Watch List

LOS ANGELES—USC wide receiver Tanook Hines has been named to the Earl Campbell Tyler Rose Award Watch List, today (Aug. 25).
The Earl Campbell Tyler Rose Award recognizes the top offensive player in Division I football who also exhibits the enduring characteristics that define Earl Campbell: integrity, performance, teamwork, sportsmanship, drive, community and tenacity; specifically, tenacity to persist and determination to overcome adversity and injury in pursuit of reaching goals. In addition, the nominee must meet one or more of the following criteria: played football at and graduated from a Texas high school and/or currently playing at Texas D1 four-year college.
Hines, a dynamic young receiver, returns as an integral part of the wide receiver unit as a sophomore in 2026. He saw action in all 13 games making 8 starts at wide receiver a true freshman in 2025. He recorded 34 receptions for 561 yards (16.5 avg.) and 2 TDs. Hines was also a crucial member of special teams as a gunner on punt team recording 2 tackles, as well as kick returner, tallying 4 returns for 52 yards (13.0 avg.) with a long of 19 yards.
The watch list will be narrowed to up to 16 semifinalists in November and then up to 5 finalists in December. They will be selected by broadcasters, commentators, journalists, fans and previous winners.
The winner will be announced in December and celebrated at the Earl Campbell Tyler Rose Award Banquet scheduled for Jan. 27, 2027 in Tyler, Texas.
