No. 2 Seed USC Women's Tennis Opens Big Ten Tournament Against No. 7 Maryland

LOS ANGELES -Â The No. 2 seed USC women's tennis team begins postseason play on Friday, facing No. 7 seed Maryland in the quarterfinals of the Big Ten Championship Tournament.
First serve against the Terrapins is scheduled for Friday, April 24 at 2 p.m. ET/ 11 a.m. PT.Â
The Trojans enter the tournament with a 19-5 overall record and a dominant 12-1 mark in conference play, having clinched the program's first-ever Big Ten regular-season title and first conference championship since 2015. USC carries strong momentum into Columbus, riding a seven-match winning streak that includes a 4-0 sweep of Indiana in the regular-season finale.
Maryland (17-6, 8-5 Big Ten) advanced to the quarterfinals with a 4-2 win over No. 10 seed Northwestern in the opening round. The Terrapins are making their second consecutive appearance in the second round of the Big Ten Tournament and feature ranked talent in both singles and doubles, led by No. 111 Oliwia Orlinska. In doubles, the pairs of Diya Challa/Emma Ghirardato (No. 61) and Emma Ghirardato/Ema Kovacevic (No. 76) highlight a competitive lineup.
