USC Track and Field Claims Three Wins on Day One of Mt. SAC Relays and Bryan Clay Invitational

WALNUT, Calif. – The USC track and field team made their mark on Hilmer Lodge Stadium with three wins and eight top-three finishes on day one of the Mt. SAC Relays. The distance crew competed down the road at the Bryan Clay Invitational, putting up strong showings in the 800m.
MT. SAC RELAYS
The Women of Troy claimed the track wins of the day for the Trojans. Lillian Harden won the women's 100m hurdles in a time of 13.53, and Rachael Uvieghara took first place in the 100m with a new wind-legal PR of 11.49. On the field side, Cordial Vann won the men's long jump in his collegiate outdoor debut with a best mark of 7.57m (24-10).
Distance runners put up big times in the 800m. Mateo Allen-Aguirre made his collegiate debut in 1:56.19 alongside Gus Armstrong who took his heat in 1:54.97. Oluwatosin Awoleye placed ninth in the elite field in 2:03.06, and Chase McCallum brought home a new personal best of 1:48.63 in the last men's 800m of the day.

- Anisa Bowen-Fontenot followed Harden in the women's 100m hurdles, claiming second place in 13.53.
- Takiya Cenci claimed silver in the women's 400m with a new personal-best time of 52.59. Joelle Trepagnier followed her lead with personal best as well in 53.45 to place fifth.
- Wiaan Martin placed third in the men's 400m in a time of 46.93.
- Falyn Lott joined in on the personal-best action with a time of 58.32 in the women's 400m hurdles, placing sixth.
- Lauren Reed took two third-place results, recording a best mark of 12.91m (42-4.5) in triple jump and 6.13m (20-1.5) in long jump.
