Four Trojan Divers Punch Tickets To NCAAs On First Day Of NCAA Zone E Championships

FLAGSTAFF, Ariz. - The USC diving squad began competition at the NCAA Zone E Championships with the chance to punch tickets to the NCAA Swimming & Diving Championships. Four Trojans did just that.
Moritz Wesemann put on a dominant performance in the 1-meter prelims with a monster score of 453.35 to hold the top spot heading into finals. Laurent Gosselin-Paradis and Luc Goertzen joined Wesemann in the event finals with prelim scores of 357.55 and 335.85. Wesemann went on to win the event with a final total score of 879.85 while Gosselin-Paradis finished eighth with a score of 703.85 as they both secured spots to NCAAs.
Goertzen posted a score of 678.40 to finish 11th.
On the women's 3-meter, Kate Miller and Jenna Jagielski finished fifth and sixth to punch their own tickets to the NCAA Championships. Miller recorded a prelim score of 273.80 and a final total score of 549.85. In prelims, Jagielski posted a mark of 276.05 followed by a total final score of 536.85.
Action will continue tomorrow with women's platform and men's 3-meter.Â
