Trojans look to stay undefeated in Big Ten play.
USC enters the weekend at 9-4 overall and 2-0 in Big Ten play following a 4-1 victory over Wisconsin in its last outing. The Trojans lineup features three ranked singles players, led by No. 38 Jana Hossam and No. 39 Emma Charney, with Eugenia Zozaya also appearing in the rankings at No. 98. In doubles, USC continues to be a major threat with the No. 15 team of Daniela Borruel and Lily Fairclough, while the pairing of Hossam Salah and Fairclough sits at No. 32 nationally.
Penn State arrives with a 10-2 record despite a 4-0 loss to Michigan in its most recent match. The Nittany Lions do not currently feature a ranked singles player but bring a ranked doubles team in Maelie Monfils and Olivia Dorner, who stand at No. 75 in the nation.
The weekend concludes with a marquee matchup as No. 2 Ohio State visits Los Angeles riding a five-match winning streak. The Buckeyes boast one of the deepest lineups in the country with four ranked singles players, including No. 3 Luciana Perry and No. 4 Teah Chavez. Nao Nishino (No. 67) and Audrey Spencer (No. 102) round out Ohio State's ranked singles contingent.
Ohio State is equally strong in doubles, led by the No. 17 pairing of Hephzibah Oluwadare and Chavez. Three additional Buckeye teams are ranked: Flora Johnson and Perry at No. 59, Spencer and Nishino at No. 67, and Perry and Chavez at No. 69.
The Buckeyes most recently defeated Michigan 4-1 and will face Pepperdine and UCLA earlier in the week before traveling to USC.
With strong doubles momentum and multiple ranked singles players, USC will look to defend its home courts at Marks Tennis Stadium as it continues conference play against two formidable Big Ten opponents.
